Jo cowanWellbeing Hub LeaderI have had the pleasure of working at Creative Options since 2018, initially as a volunteer, and have recently taken on the post of Wellbeing Support Group Leader. I love running the weekly quiz, and enjoy the laughter and camaraderie that it fosters between members, and I also regularly organise crafting activities.
I was drawn to Creative Options as it provides a welcoming environment for people with mental health issues, offering its members engaging activities, support and training. From my very first day at the charity, I could see that the encouraging, fun and non-judgemental environment gave such a confidence boost to many of its members. Working at the group sessions has given me a greater understanding of how problems with mental health affect a large cross section of our society, and I feel honoured to be part of a project that has such a positive impact on its member’s lives and wellbeing. |
