There is an opportunity to join the University Gym through Creative Options at a greatly reduced price. It involves use of a state of the art gym, swimming pool, badminton courts etc.
Creative Options will pay people's membership in advance and then members pay towards it each month. In order to take advantage of this, members will need to agree to pay for their membership which will cost £12 and must be paid by standing order. There is a requirement to commit to this upfront in order to benefit. Please contact Julie if you want to join the scheme,
Esther Ridsdale is offering a new time to thrive course to people who haven't done it before.
She is also offering a follow-up 'time to thrive' course to those who have done the first course.
Esther is keen to know who might be interested in a monthly support group which will act as a 'taster' for potential new people.
She is also offering 2 to 1 or mutual life-coaching sessions with people where two people will meet with her to work on goals and support one another.
Francine McGuire, our new knitting and crochet tutor will be at the Wednesday drop-in 12.30 pm to 2.30 pm on the second and forth Wednesdays of the month. This will be a regular group. Sewing with Karen Tait will be on the first and third Wednesdays in the month.
The photography group have had problems trying to book the minibus on a Monday as other groups want it.
In future, starting this week the field trips will be once a month on the second Tuesday of every month, 12- 3 p.m.
There is staff training at Board in the City on Thursday 3rd January 1 p.m. The training is about Safeguarding for vulnerable adults and young people. This is mandatory training for all workers with direct contact with people. Refreshments are provided
The last drop-in for the year will be 19th December. Then next Wednesday drop-in will be 9th January 2019.
19th December Emma will be teaching 'making scarves for gifts' then we will be leaving early for the Christmas lunch
