We would like to have tutors visit us to teach specific courses in wellbeing crafts and tai chi at our midweek groups. Raised so far: £651.22 ![]() About this cause We are a vital peer-led grass-roots organisation making a major contribution to the community by supporting people with experience of mental health issues. We offer training, mentoring and support to help people on their recovery journey, by giving them opportunities to explore a range of activities, rediscover skills or develop new ones. Our work is based on members' passions, skills and interests. We run a weekly drop-in plus midweek groups specialising in music, photography, computers, arts, crafts, wellbeing, cookery and sports, as well as social and support groups. We run a 'Hope' workshop offering training in transferable work skills and a youth project for the 16-25 age group. Creative Options Community Project website How this cause brings people in the community together Our project brings people together on a weekly basis at our main drop-in which is held every Wednesday. This is the hub of our community wheel where we have a weekly quiz, small groups and a variety of activities. Our weekly tutors offer activities to the group, and people can also play games or go for walks. The 'spokes' of the wheel offer specific skills or interests throughout the week.
