Creative Options Community Project is a local registered mental health charity and is seeking more staff for it's Wellbeing Hub for the New Year.
Wellbeing hub is the core to our activities and provides a place to 'be' and belong. The aim is to provide for mental wellbeing, an opportunity to practice skills or learn new ones and for social connections and relapse prevention. Wellbeing Hub Leader Short term (renewable) contract for 12 months initially. A role which involves leading the wellbeing hub on a Wednesday. The hub is open from 10.30 - 3.30 p.m. every Wednesday at the Action Church, in Warren Crescent. SO16 6AY. We are seeking an enthusiastic and empathetic person with skills to work with people and an interest in mental health. Creative ability is an advantage and we are seeking someone who is willing to share their skills, passions and interests with our members. We are looking for someone with leadership qualities and good organisation skills and adept at using technology. An ability to adapt to the use of the virtual platform if and when required would be an advantage, but training can be given. We are ideally looking for someone with previous experience of working in health or care sectors. This may be an ideal part-time post for someone seeking to develop a career in social work, heath or care sectors, or someone studying at present, i.e. psychology, who want to build up their personal portfolio. Wellbeing Assistant This is a complementary role to that of the Wellbeing hub leader. The role is for 6 hours in the week on a Wednesday. A short-term (renewable) contract for 12 months initially. We are seeking someone with skills and empathy to join our team. Our wellbeing hub assistant will assist our wellbeing hub leader in developing and delivering an interesting and varied programme together with our members, which is based on our member's desires, skills, passions and interests. Creative skills would be an advantage. We would particularly like someone with skills and interests in recreational activities and horticulture. Mainly we are seeking someone with enthusiasm who is adaptable. The wellbeing hub assistant will be asked to help support the fund-raising and social committees. We would welcome anyone with lived experience who is on the road to recovery who feel they are now able to help support others. Previous experience of working in peer support would be an advantage.
